About Our Founder

Angela, founder of Andean Adventure, brings a deep familiarity with the Andean region's landscapes, cultures, and hidden gems, cultivated through years of hands-on involvement. Her creative approach transforms standard trips into unique, story-driven escapades that capture the essence of adventure. Backed by specialized skills in travel logistics for over a decade—from itinerary optimization and vendor coordination to risk management—Angela ensures every journey runs smoothly, allowing travelers to focus on the experience.
Angela is an Ecuadorian-American creative designer based in Brookline, Massachusetts. Her multicultural upbringing across Ecuador's coast, Andean Highlands, and Galápagos Islands has fostered a profound connection to her roots, blending cultural folklore, natural wonders, and diverse landscapes into her life's work. From a young age, Angela earned the nickname "andariega"—wanderer—from her beloved aunt Eva (Dios la tenga en su gloria), the sweetest soul she knew. At just 14, she'd embark solo on 9-hour bus rides to the Highlands during February's fruit harvest, arriving at dawn to pick peaches and apples, work the orchard, and savor kitchen joys amid the fresh morning dew—a scent that lingers in her memories.
These formative adventures, coupled with volunteering to teach English to children on a rose plantation in the Andes and stints living in Argentina while exploring Latin America and Europe, honed her creative vision. After forming a family and raising two wonderful daughters, Angela now channels her passion into Andean Adventure. With a knack for travel logistics—from seamless itinerary planning and local vendor partnerships to risk-savvy operations—she crafts unique, story-rich journeys that ensure smooth, cohesive explorations.
Her mission? To collaborate with you and work hand-in-hand with South American partners to create memorable trips where cultures exchange and grow.
Join me to taste the fruits of our land, wander the places I adore, and perhaps catch that invigorating morning dew yourself.
